I still love the show, of course, but right now, it's A Lot.
Still, there was wonderful Art, sparring with Sam Elliott and being sarcastic to everyone, there was fantastic Tim and Raylan banter, we got to see Timothy Olyphant being a darling dad (in real life, the way he talks about his kids makes me think he must be a very good dad), and even though I can live without lots of dialog over crying babies, his daughter is a cutie-pie.
Poor Choo-Choo comes to a terrible end, when it didn't have to be that way, but he made awful choices out of loyalty to people who were willing to sell him out for a cut of the take, and Ty is officially The Worst. Because that's Garret Dillahunt's specialty. Him killing the EMTs was just so awful.

Jeff Fahey has always been so good at these slightly unhinged characters. He really livens things up and I do like that the affection between him and Ava feels genuine. You have to wonder why he doesn't work more.
Good to see Rachel again. She's got such an interesting ability to clearly see what's going on, but also being pragmatic enough to know that trying to run a clean shop isn't going to help.
Choo Choo is tragic. Between him and Colt, there's a interesting thread about how the system has failed veterans going through the show. I think I vaguely remember something about Boyd having been military, too?
6.7 - I spent a few fun minutes imagining an AU crossover with Life where Charlie Crews and Dani Reese show up because Ty Walker is one of Roman Nevikov's aliases. Because Raylan trying to get a handle on Crews would be highly entertaining.
Boy, Markham really is a cold-blooded SOB.
Some excellent banter in this one. The Marshalls' office is practically a comedy club. It doesn't do much for the story arc, but it really is a nice break from all the mayhem to see everyone in a battle of wits.
I really think they have run out f ideas of what to do with Ava and Boyd coz thins whole cabin interlude feels like it could be different characters.
Then we get the whole Raylan/Winona thing out of nowhere. Just...what?

Ha, Roman Nevikoff as Ty Walker...that'd be hilarious.

Like, at this point she has to know Raylan won't change. So acting like it's going to be any different each time she gets back with him...It just makes her look terrible and makes Raylan look like a chump for falling for it every time.
Alive Day
I lol'd at Boyd's dig at Raylan's car. Lots of veiled threats in that first scene.
It's always a little depressing to see these horrible power manipulations among veterans.
it strikes me that this is the second shifty real estate agent that Raylan has come across. I lol'd again at the police saying real estate agents don't tend to get themselves killed. Uh...beg to differ there.
I liked Raylan making the point that Markham's men know killing but they don't know crime.
Scruffy Art is delightful. <3
i am loving seeing Raylan and Tim working together so much. Even with Tim giving Raylan a dig about Ava.
The relationship between Katherine and Wynn is interesting.
Choo Choo is pretty tragic but at least he redeemed himself a little and din't kill the woman. I always appreciate a good shoot out, and also how calm and unperturbed Raylan and Tim (and the marshals in general) are whenever they're being threatened by other people with guns.
uh oh Limehouse.
The Hunt
I want more of Raylan and his baby daughter. Just a little more. Okay maybe a lot more. Maybe with more Tim. Where's my two men and a baby storyline??? I confess I am a sucker for a good man with baby story.
I'm gonna choose not to comment on Winona.
Dillahunt is such a good but frightening actor, watching him is always this mixture of fascination and discomfort. Particularly when he's one on one with someone and there's this well of violence waiting behind his eyes. How does he do it??? He's got the sociopath character market cornered.
Always appreciate watching how Art interrogates a suspect without actually interrogating them. He's got that 'let me just ask you this innocent question' thing but 3 questions in and it's too late, he's already got Markham hooked into giving him answers even when Markham thinks he's avoiding the questions. I now want a Justified/MCU crossover where Art and Natasha join forces haha.
I feel like overanalyzing the intense (slightly amused) stare Tim first gives Raylan when he sees him and the baby. Honestly, I could rewatch Justified again just to overanalyzing each time Tim looks at and speaks to Raylan.
"Oh my goodness what a relief she doesn't look like you." haha <3 Art
"I know, that's why i was condescending to you just now." :D :D <3 Tim
There was a lot in this episode I really loved! Everything but the Boyd/Ava subplot.
